Directive Under Rule 77 of the Delhi Cooperative Societies Rules, 1973 to all the Administrators appointed by the Registrar Cooperative Societies in respect of the House Building/Group Housing Societies Regarding admission of New Members.
As a consequence of complaints having to the admission of new members by the Administration appointed by the Registrar Cooperative Societies, it is directed that as and when any vacancy occurs as a result of resignation/expulsion or cessation of membership the Administrator shall intimate the same through a Circular to be sent through U.P.C. giving a clear notice of minimum 7 days to all the Members of the Society. A copy of the circular will also be sent to the Registrar Cooperative Societies besides displaying the same on the Notice Board of the Society's office. On receipt of applications from the prospective members, if it is found that the applications exceed the number of vacancies available, a date will be fixed for draw of lots in the presence of the prospective members and the representative of the Registrar Cooperative Societies to be invited for the purpose. The other formalities in this regard will, however, continue to be followed.
